ABOUT US

Wild Peace Yoga, LLC is the brainchild of yoga instructors, Nakia Reeves and Kristin Daubenmeyer of Michigan.

Nakia and Kristin both serve as President and Vice President of Holy Yoga Detroit, a non-profit that provides yoga to the underserved (elderly, kids, those with disabilities, rehab and trafficking) in and around the metro Detroit area. They LOVE yoga and they love God's people.

After serving as board leaders for almost 1 year, they ventured down a new path to start a yoga school to certify teachers to help expand their reach. This meant they needed an actual studio to do so.  That’s when Kristin and Nakia decided that it was time to branch out to create a space where their love for yoga, the non-profit ministry, and the people they serve could be under one roof.

Wild Peace Yoga was born!

In November 2023, after just one year in business, Nakia and Kristin welcomed their newest partner and fellow yoga instructor, Liz Hansen to the family as co-owner.

Wild Peace Yoga is the balance between coming in from the wild world around us and finding peace beyond all understanding. It also is the balance of Nakia’s, Kristin’s and Liz’s cultures and personalities, Black and White Women, wild and peaceful in their own unique ways.

Their mission is to provide a space that is warm and welcoming, where everybody with any body can come build their faith, find their focus and feel connected to the community around them.
